Events
Municipal events fall under the recreation services sector of the Village and are purely funded from the Gwaii Trust Community Events Grant and the Gwaii Trust Winter Holidays Grant. Village Council aims to host a variety of events throughout the year that Hawaa, Thank You to Gwaii Trust for supporting these opportunities for Island Residents.

2026 Event Funding:
New for 2026!
The Village of Daajing Giids has allocated a total of $4,000 to community organizations that are interested in hosting events throughout May to November. This money is from Gwaii Trust Community Events grant and Seniors Activity funding and has not been allocated from property tax revenues. These funds also do not encompass the Gwaii Trust Winter Holiday funds that the Village reserves for November/December holiday events annually.
• $2000 – Community Events funding

The Village Voice is a community newspaper published by the Village of Daajing Giids on a quarterly basis (early April, July, October, January).
